When to tell a man you have kids

I just met a man at a singles happy hour briefly and he asked me out. We will go out this evening for the first time.. When should I tell him that I have a 4 year old? 1st date? as soon as we sit down or casually. Or the second date if there is one?

Great question, Isa! You must be young! At my age, men ask pretty quickly. lol!

While I don't think it has to be the first thing out of your mouth, in the course of first date it likely will come up as you tell each other about yourselves. I have always been inclined to share this information with a date just as I would with anyone else, simply because I always wanted to know early how dates felt about the fact that I was a package deal.
